Realme has already confirmed that it would be bringing an all-new series powered by the MediaTek Helio P70. After the announcement, Realme has now announced the launch of a new smartphone dubbed as Realme U1 in India.
On its official Twitter handle Realme has confirmed the new U1 smartphone. The tweet from Realme’s official Twitter reads “Realme is bringing to you the world’s first MediaTek Helio P70 smartphone with our brand-new U series product”. The U-series will be Realme’s third lineup after the Realme 1, 2, 2 Pro which comes under one lineup. There is also an entry-level smartphone from the company which is the Realme C1.
The new Realme U1 smartphone is set to launch on 28th November via Amazon India. As the poster suggests the smartphone is aimed at selfie-centric peoples. The poster reads “It’s time to up your selfie game! Get ready to capture those flawless selfies with a smartphone experience like never before”.
The launch of the above-mentioned smartphone means, The U-series smartphone can thus be expected to be priced somewhere between the Realme C1 and Realme 2.
The Helio P70 chipset was unveiled by MediaTek last month. The processor is a successor to the Helio P60 SoC with added advantages. The features that are to be supported on Helio P70 are advanced AI capabilities, support for better cameras, faster data connectivity, an overall improvement in performance and battery consumption. The chipset is manufactured on the latest TSMC 12nm FinFET production process and offers 13 percent better performance, support for taller 20:9 Full HD+ displays at a resolution of 2160 x 1080 pixels, a 3X boost in depth-mapping performance, and 90fps video recording at 16 megapixels.
