Design and Build Quality

When it comes to design and quality quality, no one can hide from the fact that Asus looks like Maxx Pro Redmi Note 5 Pro. I mean, look at them in one of the pictures below, it is difficult to separate them. I think Asus is not the only company that is guilty of taking inspiration from other smartphones, however, what I do not like is that even though inspired by the Note 5 Pro, Asus is not capable of reducing the build quality of the device Was there.

Asus Zenfone Max Pro M1 1068x555 - Asus Zenfone Max Pro M1 Review

The device feels slightly larger and heavier in the hands and does not cause weight. Basically, Asus Zenfone Max Pro m1 is less than 1 gram weight compared to Redmi Note 5 Pro, however, it seems to be heavy and difficult in comparison to later. It seems that the Asus has not fully distributed the weight of the device and hence it does not sit properly in the hands. Separate handle, Asus Zenfone, does not look as good as the Max Pro Redmi Note 5 Pro too. The back is called boring and a fingerprint magnet. It becomes easily dirty and it certainly does not please the eyes.

everything is not bad here. The fingerprint sensor on the back is placed only in the right position and can easily be reached with one hand. I noticed that the fingerprint sensor was a bit slow, but hopefully it will fix it with software updates.

I really like Asus Zenfone Max Pro m1. They are touching and just feel good and click. Then, the notification LED, headphone jack, two sim card and triple slot for a MicroSD card, everything that I like in the budget device. I wish Asus included the USB-C charging port instead of Micro USB, but I think we can not have everything.

Display

When it comes to display, Asus Zenfon Max Pro m1 comes with 5.99-inch Full HD + IPS LCD display and the display has very good color reproduction, it is a good contrast, and it is also decent even in the sunlight Looks. I like the fact that Asas has embraced the 18: 9 Form Factor for its performance, which makes the device look more modern. If you consume a ton of media on your smartphone you will love this device. The big and shiny screen that Asus Genfon Max Pro Pack just makes everything pop.

If I do not look for a big problem, then I give Asus zenfone Max Pro m1 Ten out of ten out of ten. The display Gorilla Glass does not come with security, which means that it is getting scratched very fast. Performance will not be able to survive even a slight drops. My advice is, keep this phone in one case and install screen protector as soon as you find this phone.

Performance

The phone comes with the Octa-Core Snapdragon 636 processor and has 6 GHz RAM. We have a 3 GB version of the phone and in Benchmark tests, the phone is equal to the Redmi Note 5 Pro, which has the same processor. But this is just the number, the phone also performs well in the real world use. I am using Zenfon Max Pro as my primary phone and I can tell you that performance is really good. The phone is easily capable of handling day-to-day usage because it is very bad during launching applications, switching between apps, browsing the web and any normal activity with our smartphone.

The phone can also handle many apps and deep games like PUBG, like an app. I played both PUBG and Asphalt 8 on this device and I did not find the phone stuttering anywhere. At the same time, the Asus ZenFone Max Pro stator is a little bit when you have a ton of open apps in the background, but this is very rare, and I can live with it. Overall, the display of the phone is the best equipment in its price range.

Cameras

With Zenfone Max Pro going on camera, the phone comes with a 13 MP + 5 MP dual camera setup with an LED flash. I know that there is no dual LED flash but let’s also use the flash to take the photo. In the day, the pictures captured by Zenfone Max Pro are fine. I mean, photos are fast and good but there is a lack of details and colors are slightly oversaturated and warm.

As you can see, pictures of Radmi Note 5 Pro have more natural colors and more details than people who have occupied with Asus Zenfone Max Pro.

Let’s go to portrait mode shots. In good light, Zenfone Max Pro takes civilization for great picture shots and is also decent in low light. I mean, take a look at the pictures below, they are very good. Given that its price, Asus Zenfone  Max Pro m1 offers a very good portrait shot and we love the phone for this.

Asus ZenFone Max Pro also brings portrait mode to the front 8 MP camera. In good light, the phone can take good portrait mode shot. However, the front camera is not enough to handle low light conditions.

After all, Zenfone Max Pro comes with 4K video recording, which looks good in budget smartphone but here the performance is below average. The videos captured by Zenfone Max Pro are not very stable and the camera has problems concentrating. The camera has an EIS which works on 1080p, yet it does not matter. You can view video samples in our video review below (starting with 5:11). The only thing I can say is that there is no one who is going to buy this video for its video quality. He said, many of us do not shoot videos with our phones, and Asus Zenfone Max Pro m1 draws to the place where it really matters, which is the photo department.

Telephony and Audio Quality

When it comes to telephony, Asus did a good job with Asus Zenfone Max Pro M1. I wonder how many phones get the most basic thing that a phone has to go wrong but Asus ZenFone Max Pro is not one of them. The calls are clear on both sides and even the phone’s noise cancellation is also considering its price limit.

As far as the speakers are concerned, they are firing down but they get very loud. The base is not very good and the treble becomes uncomfortably high in high volume, but overall sound quality is very good. Also, the fact is that Zenfone Max Pro calls ships with a passive Max-box amplifier which makes the phone a great one in my books. If you still do not like the sound quality, you can always put a pair of headphones.

Connectivity

Asus Zenfone Max Pro m1 also gets the connectivity right. The smartphone can not only accommodate the TOA Nano-SIM card but can also have a third slot for the MicroSD card. I mean, nowadays, most phones choose between a secondary SIM and MicroSD card because they provide hybrid slots, but not all. With ASUS Zenfone Max Pro m1 you can use both. The phone also has headphone jack and micro USB charging port.

When it comes to network connectivity, it supports the latest 802.11 WIFI, LTE, and HSPA Network. I have used this phone on both home and office WiFi and Vodafone 4G network and I was constantly getting good download and upload speeds. Network and connectivity shouldn’t be a problem with this phone.

Battery

Zenfon Max Pro comes with a huge 5000 mAh battery and is quite hopeful that battery performance is amazing here. I mean, starting the day with 100% of battery, Zenfone Max Pro will reach approximately 50% by the end of the day and it’s like midnight. I mean, the phone ran smoothly for about 2 days on the same charge. I’m definitely impressed.

In addition, Zenfone Max supports fast charging and has 10W Fast Charger in the box. The phone goes from 10 to 100% in 2 hours and it’s impressive. I know that it takes a lot of time but suppose that it is a 5000 mAh battery that we are talking about. If you remember our final charging test video, then the phone with approximately 3000 mAh battery takes about four and a half hours to fully charge. So, 2 hours for 5000 mAh is really great.

Asus ZenFone Max Pro M1 is the Budget King?

Well, all this was about Zenfone Max Pro. So, is this really a new budget king? Honestly, this is not, but it definitely gets closer. Look, Zenfon Max Pro has a beautiful display, has a great display, with updated updates to Q, the stock brings Android Oreo, it has a 5,000 mAh battery, and it will not be available in an annoying flash sale. It is very positive but something that is wrong in the phone which prevents us from being crowned by the King of Kings. The cameras are normal, the quality of design and construction is a bit lower, and what I hate most is that there is no Gorilla Glass protection for performance.

So, should you buy Zenfone Max Pro (₹ starts from 10,999) OK, if you are confused between Zenfone Max Pro and Redmi Note 5, then Zenfone Max Pro is just better. There is no doubt here. In fact, Zenfone Max Pro also makes a good case against Redmi Note 5 Pro, but when it looks and comes to the camera and it’s a 3GB version about which we are talking about. Maybe the 6GB version of the camera with better camera can beat the Redmi Note 5 Pro camera. Anyway, the answer is yes, starts with 10,999, Zenfone Max Pro is a phone that I would recommend. Its professionals are far from their opposition. Apart from this, Flipkart is offering “full security plan” with the phone. 49, which makes the deal sweet too.
