While the Honor 9 Lite has been one of the best-selling budget phones in India in the past few months, Redmi 6 Pro is yet to come to India. We have already placed 9 lights against many low end smartphones such as Redmi 5, Redmi Note 5 and Reelme 1 and now we are putting it against the incoming smartphone – Redmi 6 Pro.
Both Redmi 6 Pro and Honor 9 Lite come with almost identical specifications. However, as the Redmi 6 Pro is new, it comes with a notch and 19: 9 aspect ratio-equipped display. Even so, the chin of these two handsets is similar in size. Before we dig deeper, take a look at their glasses.

Design and construction quality
While the Honor 9 Lite is one of the first handsets in the lower-end segment that comes with all-glass design, Redmi 6 Pro gets a metal unibody.
The up and down display in Honor 9Light is thin bezels, and is compact. On the other hand, Redmi 6 Pro is also compact but it has a foothold in it; Reducing beazel at the top, though its chin size is similar to 9 light.
While Redmi 6 Pro has an iPhone X-like camera placement, there is a horizontal camera placement in 9 lights.
The Honor 9 Lite all-glass design looks amazing but it’s fragile. On the contrary, the 6 Pro design is similar to the other Redmi series of handsets but it is stronger than 9 light.
Display, OS and UI
Both smartphones feature same display panel but the Redmi 6 Pro has a bit bigger display.
As both have full HD+ resolution, the display looks vibrant. Colors look good and objects look sharp.
As both have all-glass design at the front, they do reflect under direct sunlight.
One thing is annoying that Xiaomi hasn’t given any option to hide the notch.
Both smartphones run on Android Oreo with their own UI. Both UIs have their own perks. So if you are fan of custom UI, you will love both of them.
In this section too, no one is winner.
Gaming & Performance
Redmi 6 Pro and Honor 9 Lite come with both different processors but their computing power is almost identical. Even their benchmark scores are not even different, so their real performance is also.
Both smartphones handle common tasks easily. Whether you are doing social media, playing normal games or using some other app, none of them hangs out.
Switching between normal apps is also fine. I could not find any interval or stator But when you’re switching between heavy apps, then restart them instead of resuming the smartphone.
Another thing is they are common that they are not meant for gaming. Normal gaming is fine, but random intervals and stators can be seen while playing heavy games like Pub Mobile, Shadow Fight 3, Gangster Vegas and Modern Combat.
Graphics display is also lower than average. When I was playing Pub Mobile then the graphics was set to the minimum on both handsets, I still saw the frame drops.
When the daylight starts with photos, they look similar. But when I zoomed, I found that the Redmi 6 Pro is slightly better in terms of description, though, in a minor way.
When it comes to colors, none of them is accurate but the Honor 9 Lite is definitely close. In the case of sharpness, their performance is the same.
The same thing happens when you turn on the beauty mode. The beauty mode of the smartphone is so extreme that it exits as a whole face. I suggest not to use it.
In case of batteries, Redmi 6 Pro leaves the Honor 9 Lite behind.
During normal use, Redmi 6 Pro and Honor 9 Lite lasts around 36 and 24 hours, respectively.
Medium usage reduces the backup time between 24 and 14 hours, respectively, at Redmi 6 Pro and Honor 9 Lite.
During the heavy or marathon use, Honor 9Lite took 30 percent of the battery while the Redmi 6 Pro just settled in 21 percent of the battery. The calculation of this data, Honor 9 Lite will last about 3 hours while Redmi 6 Pro will not leave you alone for about 5 hours.
Since the Redmi 6 Pro has a large battery, it takes more than 2 hours for the battery to fully charge. In contrast, the Honor 9 Lite takes approximately 1.30 hours.
The cost of Redmi 6 Pro is Rs 10,000 (converted by Chinese value) while Honor 9 Lite has a price tag of Rs. 10,999. Their specifications are identical, so they also exhibit. However, the Redmi 6 Pro comes with the latest design (do not forget the notch) and a bigger battery. Its camera display is nearly identical to respecting 9 light. Apart from this, it is a thousand rupees cheaper.
So, our vote for the winner goes in favor of Redmi Pro 6.
